In math this week I have been focusing to work on stage 7 learning which was  division by using different types of strategies. My favourite strategy is a grouping strategy here's an example:

   196 / 4 = 49

49          49

49          49

So first you have to equally put 196 in groups of 4 to see what the answer is if there is a remainder then write it on the side. The total answer is 49. You could use in any division equation.

We learned how to do multiplication with Whea. Jaz by using the 5 times table, For example:

4 x 6= (4 x 5) + (4 x 1)

        = 20   +   4

       = 4 x 6= 24

The winning cards took my game I was battling for land when a challenger came, a challenger who has not lost one game like me. “hear ye hear ye here comes the king of the GAME OF AWESOME” I asked, “thee who virus's me will then die to there death”. The challenger said, “ yes I will battle thee”. The challenger put down its good friend for talent then I put down my sidekick and then they battle and my sidekick said it’s last words “I will miss you” then was slain my challenger’s.

Then it came to a tie and then the judge put in a random card and it was a trap. I was scared so I placed down my good friend and I said “I’m going to miss you if this is the last time we are together” “goodbye” said my good friend Harold. The challenger put down the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES and said “I'm allowed to battle thee” then came down the eagle on to the arm of the PRESIDENT. They battled and battled until noon and then came my good friend the had won.

I was the happiest I could ever be, but I remembered that the challenger was still alive so I choose her fate and I said “you may live but you will have to be a slave of me”. Then everyone lived happily ever after.

Reflection: I learned how to make a game into a story to make it more interesting and fun.

Have you ever wondered what the future holds for us? (pause)

Can you imagine what’s next?

Who knows, 1 thing I do know for sure is if we don’t look after ourselves and the land we live on, we may not get the chance to enjoy it. Hi, my name is Temanea and I’m going to be talking to you about trusting me with your future.

My dream is to become a doctor. I feel that I could help people by being a good doctor. This is one of the ways for you to trust me with your future. By becoming a doctor I can help people that are in need of medical attention, I believe that I could also help people to live a happier and healthier life. For example, I want to teach people to eat properly and to exercise properly so they can enjoy the wonderful things that this world provides for us.

To become a doctor you have to go to university and study real hard. It is not one of the easiest jobs to make it into because of this fact I would need to be a hard working determined person which is also another reason you can trust me with your future.

If you trust me with your future then I could trust you with mine and together we can build a stronger future so this is why you should trust me with your future.

Cross country- recount

• It was sunny but a cold day
• It was fun
• Heaps of mud
• Losing shoes
• The Cutler’s farm

It was a sunny but cold day at the Cutler’s farm. Once I heard year 6 girls my heart was beating I walked over to the start where we went to go and take photos, I struck two poses nervously. As we walked over to the actual starting line my heart was racing.

I heard Mrs. Watson say ready… set… go!!! I ran as fast as I could placing second place until somebody zoomed past me well I was slowly jogging. The mud tried to take my shoes but I jumped and just missed the puddle of mud. As I was running I saw a plank I was thinking of walk the plank it was a really thin plank that everyone crossed and I safely walked and thanked Mrs. Wright who was there helping and carried on.

Piper and I were coming third and then fourth overtaking each other, at the end I placed fourth overall I was so proud of myself that means I could go to zones and compete with other schools, I was impressed that I came fourth and ran 3km’s. I had the most tiring but funniest time at cross country ever.

Goals for week 9 term 2

Spelling: My spelling goal for this week is to always try to spell properly and to spell more neater and tidy.

Idea: My goal for ideas is to show my ideas in writing to make a good story. 

Math: My math goal for this week is to focus on on fractions because I don't really know much about fractions and to add up fractions.

In reading, I am proud of how I can read longer words. In reading, I find it difficult to read with expression. In reading, I want to improve on my reading skills to read slower and clear. 

In math, I am proud of how I always get 100 in my basic facts test. In math I find it difficult to read fractions and to find the answers. In math, I want to improve in my fraction 

skill. 

In writing, I am proud of my spelling skills. In writing, I find it difficult to write small words neat. In writing, I want to improve in my size and shape and I also want to improve in using more interesting words.

In R.E., I am proud of how I can think about God fast. In R.E., I find it difficult to find the bible quotes. Inn R.E., I want to improve in my skills to learn new things like learn more about the Pentecost.

In P.E., I am proud that we have made games and they successfully worked. In P.E., I find it difficult run fast and to keep up with the other people. In P.E., I need to improve in my teaching skills to teach people.

My favourite learning area is P.E. because it helps you get fitter and faster. 

                               Reflection

Improve: The thing I think improved is my handwriting. I improved it because I have better sized writing. I can prove it by showing my writing.

Nailed: I successfully nailed my world record by writing it out  step by step. I was so hard to write these things all out. Soon we will attempt to  the world records  with proof  and a camera.

Reading goal:
By next week I want to improve in reading hard words and long words.

Writing goal:
By next week I want to improve in my writing to make my writing more interesting.

R.E. goal: I want to learn more about God and Suzanne and Aubert.

The bubble art

The bubble art

We made bubble art that was colored with green, purple, orange and red. It was the most funnest thing I have ever done in school.

First we started off by making the bubble solution we first put in the sugar and then added the washing liquid then added the water, we kept on doing that until all the bowls were gone. 

Then we moved onto making the bottles in shape we cut the bottom of the bottles. The students that made the solution tested it out and it was successful. 

Then we moved onto making it art so we added dye to every bowl we had 5 colors, it was really easy to do, we blew bubbles onto the sheets of papers, and made art.

It was so fun and messy, some girls and Mr Gunn tidied up the mess that the class made and then we left them to dry. The next day Mr Gunn finished the labels, then he put double sided tape to hang the art up and then put the labels on.    

My favourite things

My favourite food is strawberries why because they are healthy and because they are nice and they are sweet.

My favourite movie is the greatest showman because it has some action and it's got singing in it.

My favourite place is rainbow's end night rides because you can see all the colors shining and all the rides that scare you.

Hello i'm Temanea  and I am in Tui the best classroom I have 1 sister and 3 brothers which one is in Australia and there names are Hine, Paumea, Watene and Ruell. I have two dogs there names are Ihepera and Ziggy they are both girls and they listen well. This my life I live with.
